The cave

The Exotic Garden will remain closed in 2022 in order to renovate and secure the site.


At the base of the cliff of the Jardin Exotique (known as "the observatory" because of the ancient presence of a small astronomical observatory), at an altitude of 100m, an underground cavity opens up for visits. The Botanical Center of the Exotic Garden is once again open to the public with free access from Tuesday to Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

The Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate of Monaco

Built in 1875, the Cathedral of Monaco, in Romanesque-Byzantine style, houses the tombs of deceased Princes, including those of Rainier III and his wife Princess Grace.

It succeeded the church of Saint Nicolas which was destroyed in 1874. The foundation stone of the cathedral was laid on January 6, 1875. The work was completed on November 12, 1903, but it was not consecrated until 1911. more...
